Jacob Valenzuela

Jacob Valenzuela is a San Antonio native.  He attended Thomas Jefferson High School (’92), St. Mary’s University (BA ’97) and University of the Incarnate Word (MAA ’05).  Jacob has owned Deco Pizzeria since 2011. Prior to owning Deco Pizzeria, he worked for USAA for 18 years.  He has been instrumental in the economic development in the Deco District.  Since 2022,  Jacob also serves as the Executive Director for the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation.  

Community involvement remains a top priority for Jacob during his spare time. He serves on the following boards:  San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,  Jefferson Woodlawn Lake Community Development Center,  Jefferson Neighborhood Association and IMBRACE Education. 

Jacob is married to Edward Benavides. Family and friendships are an important component in their marriage. They love great food and love to travel with their parentals, family, friends and with The Table of Six.  Jacob is always ready for a party, especially when there is music and dancing involved. .
