Having joined Valero right out of high school in 1984, Rosa Ramirez has been in the Oil Industry for 35 years. At the time she joined Valero, the company owned only one refinery in Corpus Christi. Now, Valero owns 15 refineries across the U.S., Canada and the UK and 14 Ethanol plants in the Midwest. Additionally, approximately 7,000 outlets currently carry Valero’s brand names. As Valero expanded its operations, Rosa supported teams in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Business Development, and Credit.
In her current role as Executive Director – Credit, she oversees the Global Credit operations in support of the company’s commercial activities. Her teams in the US, UK, Peru and Canada help her manage a multi-billion dollar Accounts Receivable portfolio.
Rosa earned her degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University – and she did so early in her career as a young wife and mother.
Rosa and her husband Humberto are the proud parents of three grown kids and three amazing grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading, cooking, and being involved in the community by supporting various events. Rosa serves on the Boards of the Texas Diaper Bank and the San Antonio Mexico Friendship Council.
