Dr. Caprica Wells
Dr. Caprica L. Wells is an education leader, author, and passionate advocate for community growth and opportunity in San Antonio. She serves as the Executive Director of Adult and Community Education for North East ISD, where she leads programs that help adults, families, and communities thrive through education and workforce development. She is also the founder of Reaching Through, a leadership and personal development platform dedicated to helping people move beyond limitations and step fully into their purpose. Through speaking, writing, and coaching, Dr. Wells encourages others to stretch, grow, and lead with courage. Dr. Wells is the author of Another Face of Trauma: Removing the Mask of Overachieving and currently serves as President of the Alamo Area Alliance of Black School Educators. She is a proud graduate of Leadership San Antonio Class 46 and now serves on the Steering Committee for Leadership San Antonio’s 50th anniversary cohort, helping shape future civic leaders across the city. While she is most comfortable on stages speaking about leadership and transformation, this year Dr. Wells is stepping onto a very different stage, the dance floor, as a celebrity dancer in Renaissance with the Stars, benefiting the San Antonio Area African American Community Fund. She’s embracing the challenge, learning new moves, and stretching into something completely new, all in support of a cause that uplifts and strengthens the San Antonio community. “Leadership is about stretching — sometimes even onto the dance floor.”
