Andrea, originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, is a strategic and resourceful Project Manager with a
strong focus on DEIB and Supplier Diversity. With over a decade of experience, she currently serves
as a Diversity & Inclusion Sr. Specialist at H-E-B, where she plays a pivotal role in initiatives like Be
the Change—a program dedicated to spotlighting diverse brands and fostering the growth of small
businesses.
Throughout her career, Andrea has been committed to building inclusive environments and driving
strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals. She has a proven track record in project
management, community engagement, and advocacy, leveraging her expertise to cultivate
meaningful relationships and advance the educational and economic development of diverse
communities.
An alumna of The University of Texas at San Antonio, Andrea earned a Bachelor of Business
Administration in International Business with a Minor in French—a milestone of immense pride as a
first-generation college graduate. She further expanded her global perspective by obtaining an
International Business Studies Certificate from the Grenoble School of Business in France. Andrea
is certified as a Diversity Professional by the National Diversity Council and holds a Project Program
Management Certification from the Project Management Leadership Group.
Passionate about leadership and continuous development, Andrea serves on the Steering
Committee for the Latina Leadership Institute at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
where she helps empower the next generation of Latina leaders.
