Melissa Cabello Havrda
San Antonio District 6 Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda is a native San Antonian and currently serving her third term. Cabello Havrda focuses on fostering economic growth, job creation, and community well-being in the fastest-growing district of San Antonio. Cabello Havrda is a practicing attorney, small business owner, and a dedicated public servant. She has previous experience working for a former Mayor and had the benefit of mentorship from the late Mayor Emeritus Lila Cockrell. Cabello Havrda brings a unique perspective to policy making, emphasizing interconnected solutions. Cabello Havrda champions various community issues, including affordable housing, economic development, resilience, and infrastructure improvement. As Chair of the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) she plays a pivotal role in preparing the San Antonio region’s infrastructure for growth. Her holistic vision for community prosperity includes prioritizing the well-being of vulnerable citizens, advocating for foster children, supporting the special needs community as well as our public school system, and ensuring preschoolers have access to pre-k and health insurance.
